About Me

Hi, I'm Sonya! I started SoRosa Creations about a year ago by combining my love for God and my love for art to create inspirational jewelry to those who need to be encouraged, uplifted and inspired. I came up with the name of my company by combining my daughter's first name Rosa to the very first two initials of my first name. My daughter Rosa who was born in 2018 is truly a blessing from God that has helped me to muscle up the strength to pursue my passion for art. Although I still work a full-time job, I love to work on inspirational pieces when I have the free-time (whenever that is) LOL. However, when I do, it makes me reflect on the goodness of our creator and all the blessings that He has bestowed upon us. 

Born and raised in Virginia as a child I would see my mom face many obstacles and challenging situations from the present to the past. My mom was the only child who loss both of her parents before she turned 30, loss her first born child when he was just 10 years old, to being a single parent to three children at the time when I was only 3 years old. Although she passed away in 2002, my four siblings and I are truly blessed that our mom en grained upon us the love of God and his undeserved kindness (John 3:16). She also taught us the value of prayer and having faith!

My greatest passion in life is to be a source of encouragement to others and to let them know that God loves them and He will always be by their side for guidance and reassurance. One of my favorite bible verses is Proverbs 3:5,6 which has giving me the motivation to stay on the right path!
